Ford
Mustang Fastback 1968 has been one of my favourite since 1980´s.
12 years of restoring Chevrolet Corvettes was little bit exhausting and I needed
something new. At winter 2004 I started searching for Mustang. Many others
were also searching for 1967 - 68 Fastback Mustang and finally I did found suitable one in spring
2005 from Holland. Seller was Geevers American Classics

At first car seemed almost nice and many parts were complete.
Some minor rust was present and wheels were extremely
ugly. I took change and car was shipped from
Holland to Finland.

Summer of 2005 was just nice cruising
and planning what I should do with this Mustang. Car was clearly
tired and some how funny to drive. I noticed some of these funny
features because I have been used to Corvette´s very good suspension.
Still it felt that there is something
mysterious in this Mustang.

Sandblasting showed how much rust and bad repairs
there were. Mustang needed badly total repairing to be
safe and also to get looks what I want. There
were rust at frame rails and bad welding all over the car.
Some new sheet metal was ruined with bad installing and bondo.
This was right car to go BULLITT
direction.

Project is now painted and engine is in.
Maybe I get on the road for next summer.
There is lot of to do, but if I have enough
time car will be ready soon.
